Disgusting Racism and Harassment at Woolworths Store I am appalled by the shocking experience my friends and I endured at the Woolworths store recently. As a group of young high school students, we visited the store to shop like any regular customers, but instead, we were met with blatant racism and harassment from the staff members. From the moment we entered the store, it felt like all eyes were on us, and we could sense the prejudice in the air. Without any valid reason, the staff claimed that we stole something and demanded to check our pockets. It was an incredibly humiliating and degrading experience as they singled us out based on our skin color. After finding nothing in our pockets, they still forced us to leave the store, despite us clearly being innocent of any wrongdoing. The checkout women at the self-serve checkout then proceeded to perpetuate this racist treatment by approaching us and making offensive accusations without any evidence. It was clear that she had targeted us specifically, as she didn't bother checking the receipts of other individuals in the store. This incident left us feeling hurt, embarrassed, and angry. It is unacceptable that in this day and age, such racist behavior still exists in a supposedly reputable store like Woolworths. It is distressing to think that young students like us can be racially profiled and labeled as criminals simply because of the color of our skin. I expected better from Woolworths, a store that claims to value diversity and inclusivity. This incident not only reflects poorly on the specific store but also calls into question the company's commitment to promoting a safe and respectful environment for all customers. I urge Woolworths to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and take appropriate action against the staff involved in this shameful incident. Racism should never be tolerated, and it is the responsibility of the management to ensure that their employees treat all customers with respect and fairness. Until Woolworths takes tangible steps to address this issue and ensures that such incidents will never happen again, I cannot in good conscience recommend this store to anyone. As a community, we must stand together against racism and discrimination, and it is disheartening to see that even in a place of business, we are not safe from such hatred.

Today midway through self checkout scanning just realised the deli has labelled a 1 kg shrimp as 5kg. When the attendant could not void the transaction, was advised to take everything and scan from the start…by this point I had almost 50-50 items scanned. When this was instructed no remorse or apology.. entitled behaviour from staff that this happened so just do that…went to another register, the person scanned and just made a pile and had to repack my whole shopping ($265) so you can imagine. These are some of the reasons I am slowly quitting woolies and switching to coles.
